When you purchase goods, raw materials, or services on credit, you may not pay the supplier immediately. Over time, it can become difficult to remember which supplier still needs to be paid and how much is pending. Vinimay makes this easier through the Payables section.
'Payables' means the money your business still has to pay to suppliers or vendors.
Here is a simple step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Log in to Vinimay.
Open Vinimay and log in using your registered Client Login or User Login credentials.
After logging in, you will reach the main dashboard where you can access your business transactions, reports, inventory, ledgers and other accounting features.

Step 2: Open the Ledger Section
From the left-side menu, find the Ledger option.
Click on Ledger to open the available ledger-related options.
This section helps you check money receivable from customers as well as money payable to suppliers.

Step 3: Click on Payables.
Under the Ledger section, click on Payables.
The Payables page helps you check suppliers or vendors to whom your business still owes money.
This gives you a quick view of your pending supplier payments without checking purchase entries one by one.

Step 4: Search or Select a Supplier
If you want to check the details of a particular supplier, use the supplier selection or search option.
Search for the supplier name and select the required vendor from the list.
This is useful when you have many suppliers and want to quickly check the outstanding balance of one specific supplier.

Step 5: Review the Supplier Ledger
After selecting the supplier, open the supplier ledger or detailed payable view.
Here you can review transactions related to that supplier, such as
Purchases
Payments made
Discounts
Other relevant entries
For example:
Purchase Amount: ₹60,000
Payment Made: ₹40,000
Outstanding Payable: ₹20,000
This means your business still has to pay ₹20,000 to that supplier.

Step 6: Check the Outstanding Payable Amount
Check the supplier’s net balance or outstanding amount.
If an amount is still showing as payable, it means payment is pending from that supplier.
You can then plan the payment based on the due amount and your available business funds.
Regularly checking the Payables section helps you avoid missed supplier payments and keeps your accounts organised.
Quick Path
Login → Ledger → Payables → Find Supplier → Open Supplier Ledger → Check Net Balance
The Payables section in Vinimay gives you a simple way to know who you need to pay and how much is still outstanding.
Instead of maintaining a separate notebook or spreadsheet for supplier dues, you can check pending balances directly inside Vinimay. Regularly reviewing your payables can help you plan payments on time, maintain better supplier relationships and manage business cash flow more efficiently.
